I absolutely love this, especially the section on “Nothing, Including Freedom, Is Easy” and “Expect to Have Amnesia of How Things Used to Be”.

I really struggled with this, when I made that big change for my goals (freedom), I expected my life to automatically easier and better than how I was living before, but I found that I had new challenges and even more difficult obstacles I had to face, it made me regret leaving the old life behind due to the comfortability of it, even though it was not the life, I wanted to be living.

To make it through, I really had to remember why I was making these changes and why I made the change in the first place. It was not easy but nobody said it would be.

You are right, Mykel, it’s not easy, but it sure is worth it. There is power in sharing. The struggle seems so lonely and personal when you are going through it!

Great read! I’m learning to embrace that one nugget “some people ain’t gonna like it!” Because I’m used to being a people pleaser.

And that note is key about tracking inventory of your thoughts. Freeing myself everyday!

    Thank you for this

I am a people pleaser as well and I’ve learned to direct that energy elsewhere. But boy, it’s not easy is it. The task is simple (change your mind), but implementation takes practice. It’s freeing. Thank you for your comments.
